I-CHING HISTORY
>> The Westerners discover the IChing "

A Jung’s student, Mrs Cary F.Baynes, undertook the translation of the English version, which was published in 1951. Jung wrote the foreword and contributed largely to the disclosure of the book. Western intellectuals such as Bertold Brecht, Hermann Hesse or John Cage were filled with wonder at the modernity of the work, and from the Sixties, the American counterculture of the Californian coast picked it up.
The Book of Changes is then translated, interpreted, adapted, commented; millions copies are sold.
